Chef Joel

Philippines-born-and-raised Chef Joel spent his formative years mastering Japanese cooking around the world in places as far afield as the island of Cyprus and in the United Arab Emirates capital of Dubai.

Working for prestigious hotel groups such as Intercontinental, his sushi-making and teppanyaki skills have been much appreciated by jet setting international guests and most recently for the lucky foodies of Alberta.

Joel has been with OMO since it’s inception.

When he’s not manning the teppanyaki table like a boss, he’s spending time and camping out with his five kids.

Chef Juancho

A world traveler who has explored the Indian subcontinent and Middle East, working in some of the finest establishments, and mastering a half-dozen different Asian and European cuisines along the way.

Chef Juancho, or “Number Juan” as his friends call him, is known as much for his high-spirited showmanship as he is for his cooking prowess.

The Times of India voted him Best Japanese Restaurant at the prestigious Taj palace hotel in Chennai, and he has headed up exotic world food kitchens in Dubai and Sharjah.

Now back home at OMO’s very own teppanyaki counter, come experience his in-your-face showmanship and on-your-plate-specialties such as our succulent, authentic Japanese A5 Miyazaki or Alberta raised wagyu, or an expertly prepared and very succulent sushi platter.
